We handle virtually any type of criminal case in the trial including but not limited to
In addition we are experienced in handling appeals and petitions for writ of habeas corpus in both the state and federal courts stemming from convictions in either forum.
Following a conviction it is often advised to minimize what can be the long term effects of a criminal convictions. To that end we also handle expungements, certificates of rehabilitation and Governor’s pardons to the extent that they are legally available depending on the nature of the conviction suffered.
We are also cognizant and knowledgeable about the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and the rapidly changing law in this field including the most recent decisions of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. We work with immigration lawyers to assure that any conviction our clients suffer will not result in their deportation from this county or a status of non-admissibility which could prevent them from ever traveling abroad. In addition, we have represented clients facing deportation because of the failure of other attorneys to do their job correctly and been able to set aside their conviction hence preventing them from being forced to leave the United States involuntarily.
In addition to the widest range of criminal matters, we also handle proceedings in the Department of Motor Vehicles involving license suspension issues and other interactions with that Department , as well as disciplinary matters involving the denial of professional licensing as well as general representation involving interactions with California Administrative Agencies.
Finally, we represent parents as well as children in Juvenile Court proceedings including Delinquency and Dependency matters. In this regard we often work with Family Law attorneys who represent our clients in divorce matters and other family matters.
